PERSENTECH’s greatest corporate capability is the Research and Development (R&D) and Experimental Development (ED) processes and knowledge base developed and applied in new product development initiatives. The R&D and ED activities have resulted in an accrued technology and knowledge (trade secrets), a USPTO patent, a European patent and a pending Canadian patent, as well as numerous registered and non-registered trademarks.

PERSENTECH has an excellent reputation as a technology and product developer that delivers the desired outcomes to its customers. PERSENTECH has developed both consumer-oriented products including the Otto-driving companion® and the OttoMobile smartphone application, and project-specific commercial products including the OttoLink and OttoView-CVS42 autonomous data loggers. A core component within the product offerings is the underlying coverage maps that incorporate the speed limits, and safety zone location information used for in-vehicle driving assistance and driving behaviour analysis.

PERSENTECH maintains all intellectual property associated with the projects and the solutions and taps into the significant research and development capability that has been accrued with in-vehicle driving assistance solutions and autonomous data logging systems for new product development  initiatives.  Each of these categories includes numerous technology advancements in GPS, OBDII, electro-mechanical product design and integration, IP networking, smartphone application development, and systems software development.
